Au revoir Bénédicte et bonjour Carolle!

A party that’s both sad and happy – the farewell reception for outgoing French Press Attaché Bénédicte Meyssan hosted by French Ambassador Gérard Chesnel and her wife Madame Ning Chesnel was the first large gathering hosted by the newly designated ambassador. As guests bid adieu to their dear Bénédicte, who started her tour of duty in 2001, they welcomed with open arms the new Press Attaché Carolle Lucas. Carolle has worked in the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in various capacities as a Press Attaché and as a member of the Minister’s entourage.

Style and fashion

John Kenner Shoe Couture launched a 40-piece collection through a dramatic unveiling and exhibit at the Ayala Museum in Makati. Executed by premiere artist Rachy Cuna, the collection exhibit, created by fashion guru Cesar Gaupo, was indeed sensual and sophisticated. Spotted during the unveiling were women from high society, fashionistas and designers.

The collection was well appreciated by the guests, drawing raves as everyone handled the exquisite creations. The wine, courtesy of Wolf Blass, was the choice drink for the evening.

Manila’s most fabulous and chic women gathered at The Peninsula Manila recently for the exciting launch of the Metrobank Femme Visa, and the smashing comeback of designer Michele Sison into the limelight of the fashion industry.

Glamorous bags by Michele were displayed in a breathtaking fashion show. Metrobank Card Corp. president Anne Young also highlighted the unique features of the Metrobank Femme Visa such as newsletters, discounts, freebies and coupons to help the woman-on-the-go fulfill her duties in her career and family life.

A power workshop

Hardworking Philamlife CEO Joey Cuisia recently demonstrated his hands-on style of management when he led his management team in a two-day workshop fine-tuning strategies and tactics with management guru and author Michael Coveny. It was a first step in the implementation of Geac’s corporate management solution MPC. The panoramic view of the Metro provided the right ambiance as the top guns of Philamlife worked and dined together in teams at the Philamlife Tower. Geac, led by managing director Norbert Kiss, will help Philamlife in the implementation of its strategic plans in the years ahead. With such commitment to investors and plan holders, it is no wonder that this conglomerate has continued dominance of the insurance industry in the country.
