Just when everyone thought theyd seen or heard enough of Rex Navarrete, dahlings, there he went again. This time at E-Rex-ion at Tito Boys Sala, dahlings, held at the swinging Dish at the Third Level of Rockwells Power Plant Mall. One-of-a-kind Fil-Am standup comedian, Mr. Laughter himself, rocked Cosmo Manille with an intensity 10 earthquake of laughs in recent months. This funny guy definitely has what it takes to captivate an audience with his wacky humor and ad-libs. He keeps the audience in stitches in their seats for at least two hours.
As many shows as he has had in the past few months, Rex still packed them in for two straight nights at Dish, natch! True to form, he did not disappoint curious first-time spectators as well as his loyal following. He tickled funny bones with spiels and antics along with the new materials.
Having a blast in the audience, palanggas, were hotshot personas like award-winning movie director Carlitos Siguion-Reyna, his wife Bibeth and their kids; women on the move, broadcast journalists Korina Sanchez and Che Che Lazaro and husband, former Energy Secretary Delfin Lazaro; media man-turned-politician Gilbert Remulla; PLDTs Butch Jimenez and Al Panlilio; Smarts genius secret weapon, Southern gent Boy Martirez, his nice wife Marilu and their children, Katrina, Anika, Molly and AR; Ogie and Candy Palisoc; and fashion icon and Knit Queen Lulu Tan Gan.
Moi couldnt miss beautiful faces like world-class actor Cesar Montano and his beautiful wife Sunshine Cruz; Hans Montenegro and Maritoni Fernandez; Ilac Diaz; Rhoda Campos; Toni Abad; head turner sisters two, Pinky and Melissa de Leon; Jackie Aquino; Patrick Guzman; Paul Daza; Rep. Darlene Custodio; First Holdings Cary Lopez and wife Yvette and their kids; NBCs Marco Borlongan; Emily Campos; Rudy and Rina Bautista and their son Dan; plus mega Dishs managing directors and their wives, Rikki and Beng Dee, EJ and Tess Litton and Philip and Tricia Cu-Unjieng.
The super happening, which proved that laughter is indeed the best medicine, was made possible by generous presentors like hot, hot twosome PLDT and Smart, naturellement, supported by Samsung, our very own The Philippine STAR, Habitat and Nescafe.
Needless to say, palanggas, Dish always has fabi surprise shows and concerts every month. Check out tomorrows (Wednesday, March 26) concert with fabi Lani Misalucha, no less. For ticket inquiries, do call tel. nos. 898-1771 or 898-1824. Dish is at the Third Level Power Plant Rockwell Center, Makati City.

Since it opened tons of restos and stores late last year, dahlings, the lush new Greenbelt has become the most popular lifestyle destination in our city. It has no doubt become Makatis urban entertainment mecca.
Greenbelt held a grand coming-out bash a bright full moon ago, palanggas, when Ayala Land, Inc. threw a big celebration for its prime baby. As most Ayala affairs go, this one went all the way. Held at the beautiful main courtyard with the parks lush centerpiece as take-off point, the super launch had "fairies" ushering invitees to a pre-summer nights dream of music and loads of laughter. It was definitely a magical evening, dahlings.
This happening was clearly envisioned to echo Greenbelt 3s many facets. The evening went from top-brass live entertainment by Jaya to the hit comic style of renowned Rex Navarrete to the jazzy music of Ugoy-Ugoy coupled with the bluesy vocals of Cookie Chua and dance music from Anton Ramos. Also featured were the more fantastical aerial dance by the team of Christine Van Loo and Sonny Brown who jetted in from the US especially for the event. Generous servings of sumptuous dishes from Greenbelt restos and an endless supply of wines and drinks completed the affair.
Naturellement, Ayalas mega hotshots and their families came in full Zobel force, palanggas: Mr. James Bond himself, Jaime Zobel de Ayala, Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala and wife Lizzie and their children, Fernando Zobel de Ayala and wife Kitkat, top ballerina Sofia Zobel and good-looking husband Patxi Elizalde, as well as Ayala Lands super executive, Francisco Licuanan; Angela Lacson; Mercedita Nolledo; and Miriam Katigbak.
Rustans working socialite Nedy Tantoco, whose son, Store Specialists secret weapon Anton Huang is one of Ayala Lands biggest clients, breezed in with her pack, constant escort Patrick Jacinto, Diana Jean Lopez and moi.
National Bookstores Fred and Presy Ramos didnt come just to party, they watched their son Anton Ramos deejay later in the night. They also enjoyed the company of First District of Makati Rep. Teddyboy Locsin and la simpatica wife Louie Locsin; brains and business persona, Makati Business Clubs Bill Luz and his famille; and the entrepreneurial group of Yoya Tanseco, Reena Francisco and Chit Juan of Store Super and Figaro who came with Joaquin Zamora and Bi-Ann Tupas.
Overwhelmed over the flying fairies were Magnums Tita Trillo; renowned sculptor Claude Tayag of ABT Design and wife Maryann; Segafreddos Ernie Fajardo; Pineapples Anton Barretto; Sentros always with a smile Ricky Gutierrez; Hue and Pizza Express Melo Ortiz and Dean Dayao; Havanas Lorna Ambas; bubbly, bubbly party organizer Angelette Calero; special events lady Gigi Bautista and hubby Manny; plus Peninsula Manilas first couple, super eye-catching beauty Marilou Toda-B. and husband David Batchelor.
The magical night climaxed, dahlings, when Jaya sang El Debarges Rhythm of the Night with the "fairies" and aerialist performing behind her. Makatis skyline was suddenly filled with wondrous fireworks, showering their light on everyone in Greenbelt. It was a sight to behold and an experience no one was likely to forget a new Greenbelt experience, palanggas.
The undersea and its fascinating creatures and colors become food for thought and a pleasurable dining experience, dahlings, at Blue Bacon Café during its inauguration at the E-Square Mall along Ortigas Ave., Greenhills, San Juan.
A well-balanced, excellently prepared meal served amid a unique underwater-inspired ambiance await all you gourmands seeking a flavorful food adventure in one of the coziest and finest dining options in uptown Greenhills. Blue Bacon Café offers fresh bounty from the sea. The resto has made it a strict company policy not to compromise on quality.
Making sure not to miss this happening, palanggas, were hot, hot personas in and the razz-matazz political and entertainment worlds led by San Juan Mayor Joseph Victor Ejercito and our palangga, Southern belle Susan Roces who was later joined by her actor-husband and macho man Fernando Poe Jr., no less. Joining them at the ceremonial ribbon snipping were Felicidad Sy, the low-profile nice wife of SM bigwig Henry Sy, and Simeon Tiu. Once that was done, invitees enjoyed a sumptuous set menu following the blessing of the restaurant.
The prime attractions at Blue Bacon resto are not only on its delectable food and calorific desserts, palanggas, but its one-of-a-kind unique interiors with lanterns; wrought-iron chairs creatively fashioned like fish tails; iridescent octopus bar stools; sea animal displays; and other touches that contribute to the restos tres different dining experience.
The Blue Bacon Café, dahlings, is an offshoot of the first successful Blue Bacon and Green Eggs resto cum deli store venture of that super successful, unbeatable duo of Economics graduate Mike Prado and Marketing-oriented Boyd Deriquito. Their popular first resto was in a residential district of Lantana cor. Boston Sts. in New Manila. From an initial seating capacity of 36 when it opened in November 1995, Blue Bacon and Green Eggs has successfully grown to accommodate 300 guests. To date, the resto with an inviting Mediterranean garden setting continues to get customers who find the food, coupled with the restaurant owners personalized approach to customers, irresistible.
