KATHMANDU, Nepal — Tashi Sherpa, an internationally certified mountain guide, says some people who want to climb Mount Everest "never think that they have to get back."

This climbing season was the deadliest in years, with 11 people losing their lives on the Everest slopes.

"The problem, what is the problem is that the human, like kind of, some people’s human ego. They wanted to get to the summit but they never think that they have to get back," the guide said.
