MANILA, Philippines — Several progressive groups on Tuesday gathered before the Commission on Elections to protest the alleged rigged elections.
Rep. Arlene Brosas (Gabriela party-list) said many Filipinos are calling for accountability on the alleged anomalous 2019 midterm election results.
Progressive groups including student protesters and party-lists Kabataan, Anakbayan and Gabriela, among others, are demanding transparency from the poll body.
Some are also questioning non-marginalized party-lists approved to run in the elections.
