MANILA, Philippines— Salvador Panelo, who will be returning as spokesperson for President Rodrigo Duterte, on Thursday explained his reappointment to the post.
Panelo, also chief presidential legal counsel, clarified that his reappointment as the president’s mouthpiece will not entail many changes to his job.
He explained that as mandated by the executive order that formed his office, he is the spokesman of the president.
“I will be more visible this time,” Panelo said.
Panelo confirmed that he will be the next spokesman of the president, replacing Harry Roque, who has yet to resign but is mulling a Senate run.
