MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago introduced herself as a 2016 presidential aspirant before students at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City on Monday.

In this video, Santiago lists three characteristics of "corrupt" politicians.

"Alam mo, ang pansin ko sa Senado, hindi naman pala mahirap na ipunin ang pera ng gobyerno, ang problema lang sa bansa nating ito ay una, ang nagsasalita, 'yun din ang magnanakaw. Pangalawa, 'pag nagsasalita sila na lalaban sila sa graft and corruption, mali-mali pa ang Ingles nila," Santiago said.

"Pangatlo, ninanakaw nila ang pera ng gobyerno para 'pag nakuha nila ang lahat ng pera, ibibili nila ulit ng boto ng taong bayan at sa gano'ng paraan, wala nang katapusan ang pagnakaw ng pera. This must stop," she added.
