MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Grace Poe led the committee investigation Monday on the January 25 gun fight between elite police forces and Moro rebels in Mamasapano town in Maguindanao.
Included as resource persons were Interior Secretary Manuel "Mar" Roxas II and Philippine National Police chief Director General Alan Purisima, whose resignation President Aquino accepted last week.
Relieved Special Action Force chief Getulio Napeñas police officer-in-charge Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina also attended the hearing on the deaths of the 44 police commandos in the operation.
