Video of the Day: Shocking clip of what noodles do to your stomach
MANILA, Philippines - Dr. Branden Kuo, a gastrointestinal specialist from the Massachusetts General Hospital wanted to find out what instant noodles do inside a human’s stomach. He performed an experiment with a time lapse video inside a human’s stomach by using a ‘smart pill,’ a multi-vitamin sized camera. After two hours of digestion, the results were startling.
The video shows what happens in the gut of someone who eats a package of instant ramen noodles compared to fresh. The experiment was recorded for 32 hours.

Dr. Kuo found out in his study that instant ramen noodles contain the chemical Tertiary-butyl hydroquinone (TBHQ), a by-product of the petroleum industry and a food additive frequently used to preserve cheap, processed foods. It is a chemical that is neither digestible nor beneficial in any way for your body.
