MANILA, Philippines - On Oct. 14, 1981, a young Williams appeared on "The Tonight Show."
Before he was Mrs. Doubtfire or Professor John Keating, Williams was a man who still got his nerves cracking and heart thumping when it came to doing interviews. Sitting on Johnny Carson's couch, the nervous Williams, who was then at the peak of his "Mork & Mindy" career went on to deliver rapid-fire spitting jokes that nobody expected. It was zany and hilarious. These are the qualities that make the Oscar-winning actor loveable and utterly missed.
