MANILA, Philippines - United Nationalist Alliance senatorial candidate Margarita "Tingting" Cojuangco vowed to craft a law that will protect women's welfare in prisons and facilitate the resolution of cases.
"I have gone to several jails for women and I would like to legislate into law how to protect these women. Yung offense ng (ibang) mga nakakulong ay two years, pero eight years na and their cases have not come to some kind of a conclusion," she said.
A former president of the Philippine Public Safety College, Cojuangco also tells Philstar.com in an exclusive interview her key legislative agenda once she wins the May polls.
