Tight security at resumption of Maguindanao massacre trial

- Dennis Carcamo -

MANILA, Philippines – Security at the Quezon City Regional Court was strict at the resumption of the trial of the Maguindanao massacre case this morning.

Supreme Court security personnel have been deployed at the hallway going to the courtroom of Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes.

According to one of the SC public information staff, the deployment of security measures at the court room were based on implementations by the High Court security staff and Reyes' own security detail.

The security setup had been employed when the hearings were held at Camp Bagong Diwa, in Bicutan, Taguig City.

Meanwhile, Dr. Dean Cabrera, an prosecution witness, will resume his presentation of the results of the autopsies on the 12 victims of the carnage in 2009.
