MANILA, Philippines – The Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) recently launched an online exhibit of selected pieces of jewelry confiscated from the Marcoses.

The selected pieces belong to the Hawaii jewelry collection, one of the three massive Marcos jewelry collections.

The US Bureau of Customs seized the collection upon the Marcoses' arrival in Hawaii in 1986. It is currently stored at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and under the custody of the PCGG.

The PCGG posted photos of the selected pieces on its social media accounts as a reminder for the present generation of the "excesses and extravagance of the Marcoses’ in their two-decade dictatorship."

Earlier this year, the Philippine government approved the public exhibit and auction of the Hawaii collection which international experts have appraised to be worth at least P1 billion ($21 million).
