Short truce
The short declaration of ceasefire by the NPA, Dec. 23-26, and Dec. 31 to Jan. 1, 2015 is not or cannot be considered as a ceasefire, but only a “stop fire.”
The short duration is meaningless because a few days before its effect, NPAs harassed and disarmed the security guards and burned the mining equipment of the Gold Processing Small-scale Mining owned by a civilian in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.
They still continue with illegal acts. In all, they only pretend to ride along, but have other evil plans for more attacks.
Our province is now becoming a favorite place for their attacks and other atrocities. They are causing much damage to lives and properties here.
They did not match the government ceasefire, making their own schedule which could not hardly be felt at all.
If this is what they want, the government should continue military operations as part of their duties to secure the nation, especially during Christmastime.
The NPAs may claim they violate the ceasefire they had declared, but any encounter could be in all probability be initiated by NPAs themselves. Again, they will expectedly criticize the government.
