Reverie book launch

The Philippine Star

“Reveries (Mirrors in the Distance),” a collection of brief memoirs written by 31 golden jubilarians of St. Theresa’s Col- lege QC, and published by Studio 5 Designs, was launched at STC recently.

The memoirs are biographically often inspiring, riveting episodes in the authors’ lives, daunting challenges met and surmounted with unwavering faith in the Almighty, this at- tributed (with few exceptions) to the sterling education, train- ing and orientation received from the venerable Belgian nuns.

Collected and edited by Marily Ysip Orosa, with an intro- duction by her and a preface by Lydia Balatbat Echauz, the essays are by Melinda Tolosa Alcober, Edita Alicpala, Elenita Belgios, Mariza Cuevas Ceñido, Ching Ong de la Cruz, Evelyn Doliente de la Cruz, Vicki Hernandez de Jesus, Lydia B. Echauz, Tina Joaquin Erum, Arleen Indiongco Estrella, Zeny Anistoso Gutierrez, Eloisa Garcia Guevara, Emmy Lagniton Hayward, Alma Cuevas Horrilleno, Agnes Alvarez Kalisher, Cynthia de la Fuente Lota, Teresita Gerladez Mascardo, Nanette Katigbak Medina, Anelle Militante Monroy, Marily Ysip Orosa, Nancy Sison Roxas, Marieke Chan Samonte, Bobbi Santos-Viola, Car- men Chua Say, Melissa Ochangco Simpao, Marille Cepeda Si- son, Marleen Imperial Villareal, Cynthia Dancel Villasis, Na- tividad Madrid Yabes and Sita Castro Yan.

As to be expected, copies of “Reverie” were quickly sold out, with Marily filling out orders from National Book Store, Power Books and Fully Booked.

Marily recently launched the book in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco. Her Studio 5 Designs received the 2013 Philip- pine Quill Award as Agency of the Year, and for the second con- secutive year the 2013 Bronze Anvil Award for its coffee table- book “The Pepsi Challenge.” It has won the award five times for besting all excellence awards in the PR Tool category.
