CMMTC clarification

The Philippine Star

We refer to the news article entitled “SMC may challenge MPTC’s P23-B connector road plan” by Lawrence Agcaoili which appeared in the July 31, 2013 issue of The Philippine STAR.

This is to clarify that no one from Citra Metro Manila Tollways Corporation (CMMTC)  “disclosed that the tollways unit of SMC would study whether or not to participate once the P23 billion connector road of MPIC’s Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) is subjected to a Swiss Challenge.”

Moreover, CMMTC is not in a position to state nor is it aware that the tollways unit of SMC “would study whether or not to participate once the P23 billion connector road of MPIC’s Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) is subjected to a Swiss Challenge.”

In relation thereto,  we wish to clarify further that Citra Central Expressway Corporation (CCEC), and not CMMTC, will be implementing the Skyway Stage 3 Project which will link the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) from Buendia, Makati to Balintawak, Caloocan City via Quirino Avenue and PUP-Sta Mesa. CMMTC remains to be the concessionaire for the existing Skyway System from Buendia, Makati City to Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

We will appreciate it if you can print the foregoing clarification. — FEMA C. Q. PIRAMIDE-SAYSON, Vice President, Corporate Legal Affairs, CIFRA Metro Manila Tollways Corporation
