The ever-accelerating tempo of modern living makes life for many people more difficult! The constant innovative changes of modern hi-tech gadgets put tremendous pressure on us, driving us at roller-coaster speed. The mercurial rise in life’s pace oftentimes tear our minds and souls to shreds.
The pace of life, however, can be controlled by the character of our thoughts. A quiet, peaceful physical existence in a highly-charged environment can be enjoyed by deliberately stopping what you do and practice serenity for ten or more minutes everyday. A debilitating over-stimulation and super excitement can result when our mind rushes on pell-mell from a feverish attitude to another. Such situation can become toxins in our bodies, make us feel fatigued and frustrated. Even create emotional illness!
Slow down! Practice and preserve mental quietness. Learn the art of letting go all nervous excitement through laughter! Take each day one step at a time. Reduce the pace of life. Lessen its tempo… allow yourself to gather strength. Call on your faith to uphold you. Realize that life is a series of levels… an endless cycle of ups and downs.
