Land Bank: No murder, huge encashment of PhilHealth payments

This is in response to the column of Senator Maceda which came out in the Philippine STAR today (Jan. 3) which stated that “Hundreds of millions of PhilHealth premium payments have been encashed at Landbank branch in Batangas. Under investigation is the murder of the Landbank branch cashier when he refused to further cooperate.”

We wish to clarify two points:

— First, there was no huge encashment of PhilHealth premium payments in any Land Bank branch in Batangas.

— More importantly, there was no murder incident involving any cashier in our branches.
