MANILA, Philippines - In his press release dated today, August 19, 2011, Mr. Isagani de Castro Jr. claims that abs-cbnNEWS.com published my letter addressed to Ms. Lala Rimando in full on two occasions:
1. “-on June 7, 2011, as a rejoinder to the article written by Lala Rimando on several Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) transactions: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/business/05/26/11/philex-mining-saga-how-first-pacific-acquired-control;” and
2. “-on June 10, 2011 in the feedback section: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/sites/default/files/others/downloads/20110601_RVO_response.PDF”
While Mr. de Castro is technically correct, my rejoinder was published in such an obscure fashion i.e., in their website with several links that it took a superhuman effort for anyone to actually access and be able to read the response. Thus, while abs-cbnNEWS gave full play to Ms. Rimando’s articles, my response was buried in their website and almost impossible for anyone to find. Fair play?
