Basilan condemns Abu attacks

MANILA, Philippines - The Basileños condemn the attack by the Abu Sayyaf Group last April 13, this date will remind them on the ruthlessness of the group.

Basilan has been peaceful these past years and development is pushing through. In an instant, these are all gone, with the ASG’s resurgent activity in our place. The group, like other groups who seek evil and destruction for the Philippines, peace and progress are their enemies.

Although there is no easy way to stop them, we join Basileños in condemning the attack for what they did was abominable. Basilan continues to stand up. Surely, what happened will not dampen the Basileños spirits nor affect their way of life. – Miguel B. Villa, Zamboanga City
