EO para sa Water Resources Management Office nilagdaan ni Marcos
MANILA, Philippines — Nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang isang executive order na lilikha sa Water Resources Management Office (WRMO).
Layunin ng EO No. 22 na nasa ilalim ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) ay ayusin ang ginagawa ng pamahalaan upang matiyak na sapat ang water resources sa bansa.
“The WRMO is mandated to ensure the immediate implementation of the Integrated Water Resources Management in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and formulate a corresponding Water Resources Master Plan (IWMP),” saad ng EO.
Dagdag pa ng EO: “To avert water crisis, minimize and avoid conflicts, and consistent with the State’s sole, ownership and control over the country’s water resources, it is imperative for the Government to integrate and harmonize the policies, programs, and projects of all relevant agencies in the water resource sector in the fulfillment of their complementary governmental mandates.”
Pamumunuan ang WRMO ng isang Undersecretary na itatalaga ng Pangulo.
