MANILA, Philippines - There are 18 species of Platyceriums in the world. Recently the Thai plant tracker, Mr. Poonsak found 2 individuals in Thai forest that do not fit the description of any of the named species. The plants are under his care and are now sporulating.
The plants look halfway between Platyceriuzqm holttumi and P.wallichii. Pending proper taxonomic evaluation, the spores are already being grown for commercial purpose.
