Dwarf Carabao Grass

MANILA, Philippines - The newest exciting introduction to the Philippine landscape industry is a Dwarf variety of Carabao Grass. The grass has the same characteristics of the old Carabao Grass but the internodes, leaves and runners are shorter. The plant grows flat on the soil surface thus easy to manage. Unlike other grasses, the dwarf Carabao Grass may be planted in partially shaded areas. The low maintenance grass tolerates different kinds of soil. The grass is ideal for producing Grass Carpets for instant Landscaping use.

There is also a variegated form of Dwarf Carabao Grass. The characteristics are the same as the Dwarf Carabao Grass. It may be used in conjunction with the regular dwarf Carabao Grass to give an interesting color/texture to the landscape.

Propagation is easy. Leaf node cuttings of the leafy rhizomes of both green and variegated varieties can produce a lot of plants in the shortest possible time.
