Sasandalan ng three-peat-seeking Lady Bulldogs ang kanilang momentum matapos nilang paluin ang 25-11, 25-23, 25-13, panalo kontra College of Saint Benilde noong Linggo sa tournament na suportado ng Shakey’s Pizza Parlor, GCash, Chery Tiggo, F2 Logistics, Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken, Potato Corner, R and B Milk Tea at Summit Water.

Ang top two teams sa bawat group sa second round ay mabibiyayaan ng twice-to-beat incentives sa event na katuwang ang Smart Sports, PLDT Fibr, Mikasa, Asics, Rebel Sports, Eurotel, Victory Liner, Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), at SM Tickets bilang technical partners

Samantala, nais naman ng Lady Spikers na pahabain ang kanilang winning streak sa tatlo sa second round laban sa Lady Bla­zers sa alas-5 ng hapon pagkatapos ng bakbakan sa pangalawang laro sa pagitan ng University of the Philippines at Far Eastern University sa alas-2 ng hapon.
