EAC grad tops radio technologist exams

MANILA, Philippines - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said yesterday that Mark Jayson Gutierrez, a graduate of the Emilio Aguinaldo College in Manila, topped the licensure test for radiologic technologists with a score of 91.4 percent.

The PRC said 509 of 982 examinees passed the licensure tests for radiologic technologist and X-ray technologies administered this month.

The other leading examinees in the radiologic technologist licensure test are: Dexter Javid Buluran, Philippine College of Health & Sciences, 90.8 percent; Alerna Irene Cal of Nazarenus College Foundation and Ma. Isabelle Ramirez of the De La Salle University-Health Sciences Institute, 90.4; James Robin Certeza, De La Salle University-Health Sciences Institute, 89.8; Elmira Pakingan, Olivarez College-Parañaque, 88.8; Jovito Pacete III, Davao Doctors College Inc., 88.6; Christopher James Babasa of Saint Jude College-Manila and Shirley Mahinay of Liceo de Cagayan University, 88.4; Bernard Michael Beredico, The Family Clinic Inc., 88.2; Reginald Rojas of the Liceo de Cagayan University and Robert Varquez, 88; and Rainbert Sabela, Holy Infant College, 87.6.

The examinees who garnered the nine highest places in the X-ray technologist licensure examination, on the other hand, are Jefferson Quilala, Central Luzon Doctor’s Hospital Educational Institution (CLDHEI), 84.25 percent; Marife Corcuera, CLDHEI, 83.5; Darwisa Ahamadul of the Universidad de Zamboanga, Catherine Garcia of the CLDHEI, and Charlex Nazaora of the Polytechnic College Of Davao del Sur, 82.75; Maria Cristina Fernando, CLDHEI, 82.5; Cherie Mae Carbonel, CLDHEI, 81.75; Marvin Clyde Dave Guieb, CLDHEI, 81.5; Ramil Capiral, CLDHEI, 81.25; Raihanah Abulkhair, Iligan Medical Center College, Inc., 81; Cherry Ganzon of the Carthel Science Educational Foundation Inc. and Rogelio Tapia Jr. of the CLDHEI, 80.25.

Based on the results, the schools with 20 or more examinees and posted at least 80 percent passing rate for radiologic technology are the De La Salle University-Health Sciences Institute (86 percent) and Holy Infant College (84 percent).

The results showed that no school qualified for this criteria for X-ray technologists.
