Ronald McDonald House Charities builds eco-friendly Bahay Bulilit in Imus
MANILA,Philippines — Reinforcing its commitment to making a difference in the lives of Filipino children, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) recently turned over its first solar-powered Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit (RMBB) Learning Center to the community of Jade Residences, Barangay Malagasang I-G in Imus City, Cavite.
Together with the city social welfare and development and the local government units of Imus, RMHC set up its second RMBB in Cavite and its 33rd in the country. Close to 70 children ages two to four can jumpstart their learning journey in the safe and conducive center, with two to three sessions a day.
In its bid to also support Imus’ vision in providing a safe, green and sustainable living environment, RMHC went eco-friendly as it installed solar panels in the RMBB donated by Robles Heritage Solar.
Other RMHC flagship programs, such as the Ronald McDonald Read to Learn (RTL), which teaches beginning reading, has also been rolled out in public elementary schools in the city.
