MANILA, Philippines — There will be no changes in the design of the uniform of teachers and non-teaching personnel in public schools this year, according to the Department of Education (DepEd).
Education Undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla, in her capacity as officer-in-charge, last week said uniforms of teachers and non-teaching personnel will be similar to those used since 2016.
Sevilla said that the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has issued a budget circular for the release of funds for the second quarter of the year, which includes the grant of uniform and clothing allowances to civilian government personnel.
“The annual clothing and uniform allowance in the amount of P6,000 shall be released to all personnel, subject to existing accounting and auditing rules and regulations, and upon the release of the notice of cash allocation from DBM,” she added.
False reports that public school teachers will have new uniform designs this coming school year earlier circulated online.
