DOLE, in partnership with other government agencies and private sector, is initiating special job fairs for senior high school graduates.
Based on data from the Department of Education (DepEd), nearly half or 40 percent of the more than one million senior high school graduates nationwide will not pursue college education and will be looking for jobs immediately.
Last Monday, DOLE and the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) mounted a special job fair at the Midtown Atrium Robinson’s Manila.
“The special job fair aims to provide the youth with a springboard to explore the different employment opportunities that will be available to them,” DOLE said.
The job fair featured an assessment of the competencies of applicants in terms of intelligence quotient, numerical aptitude, personality or behavioral test, values test, among others.
