Easi-Funds student loan program launched

Donnabelle L. Gatdula - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - China Bank Savings (CBS), a subsidiary of China Banking Corp partly-owned by the Sy family, has launched a private education loan program Easi-Funds Student Loan.

CBS said the easy and affordable loan program was initially available at National University (NU).

Through Easi-Funds Student Loan, CBS said parents could have the tuition fee of their children enrolled in any course at NU financed at lower interest rates and flexible payment terms of up to 12 months with rates of  1.49 percent for three months, 1.69 percent for six months, and 1.79 percent for 12 months.

Applying for the loan, CBS said, is simple and the processing fee is waived, making for a more borrower-friendly application process.

“Applicants (parents) just need to fill up the application form—available at any CBS branch and at NU’s Office of Student Affairs—and submit it with the school’s assessment along with the other requirements,” CBS said.

“…This program will help parents better afford their children’s higher education,” CBS president Alberto Emilio Ramos said.

CBS is focused on the retail market, offering banking products and services that match different life stages, and its “madaling kausap” brand of personalized service.
