Pro-Friends, Knowledge Channel help school

MANILA, Philippines - Teachers, parents, and students of Alapan-1 Elementary School in Imus Cavite have witnessed “The Gift of Knowledge” ceremonial turnover of the Knowledge Channel Foundation and the Property Company of Friends, Inc. (Pro-Friends).

Pro-Friends has always believed that quality education can equally be attained through access to curriculum-based TV programs that is provided by the Knowledge Channel.

Danilyn Siwa, principal of Alapan-1 Elementary School, expressed her gratitude to Pro-Friends and Knowledge Channel Foundation for the e-learning facilities, which are important to students and teachers, especially in public schools.

Meanwhile, Richard Tay, Pro-Friends VP for sales and marketing, said the company wanted to provide students quality education through various corporate social responsibility projects.

Grade six students delighted the audience with their delivery of a “Sabayang Pagbikas,” thanking Pro-Friends and the Knowledge Channel Foundation for the e-learning facilities.

Others who attended the turnover were Imus barangay officials and some representatives from Cavite press.

Pro-Friends kicked off its crystal year celebration with the “Run for e-Learning” last February at the CCP open grounds. It will sponsor three schools in Cavite, Pampanga, and Iloilo where Pro-Friends projects are located.

It will also benefit Nueva Victoria Elementary School in Mexico, Pampanga and Bolilao Elementary School in Dumangas, Iloilo.
