NFC technology at APC

MANILA, Philippines - Asia Pacific College (APC) has partnered with Advance Card System, Ltd. (ACS) in promoting smart card technology via the development of an automated attendance monitoring portal for APC’s  faculty and students.

The partnership calls for the creation of application using the New Field Communication (NFC) technology.  ACS will provide the School of Engineering (SOE) with five “ACR122U” smart card readers which will be used in the automation of school’s current manual attendance checking system.

APC’s Computer Engineering course encompasses studies of hardware, software, and system issues that arise in their design, development and application. The engineering students are equipped with the knowledge to analyze, plan, install, operate and maintain digital devices and computer hardware and software system… the convincing proof of APC’s “Real Projects,  Real Learning.” thrust.
