CCA, Manila and Telus collaborate on unique learning program
MANILA, Philippines - Working in a call center has its rewards, especially with the benefits and opportunities that companies bestow on their employees. However, some call center workers may not enjoy healthy lifestyles. Some opt to dine at fast food restaurants, while others spend less time in the gym.
To help promote good food and healthy eating habits to contact center workers, the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA, Manila), the country’s top culinary education institution, and top call center and outsourcing services provider TELUS International Philippines (TIP) recently held a cooking demonstration at TELUS House Araneta.
The cooking demo was conducted by celebrity chef and CCA alumnus, chef Tristan Encarnacion, who not only prepared delectable dishes but also encouraged team members to find joy in preparing healthy, delicious meals. The activity also helped build awareness for TIP’s unique learning and development program, TELUS International University.
CCA, Manila and TIP have been partners since February 2013. TIP chose CCA as its partner for culinary programs because of its stellar reputation as a prestigious culinary institution. During its first year, TIP team members have enrolled in CCA’s Culinary Arts Course Track 1 and Culinary Arts Course Track 2. This quarter, they can look forward to additional CCA programs, like à la carte courses focused on pastry arts, cakes, gardemanger, and European cuisine.
“We are grateful to CCA for helping us bring enriching, affordable learning opportunities to our team members through the TELUS International University. Supporting our team members’ personal and professional success is at the cornerstone of TIP’s caring corporate culture,†said JV Ramirez, TIP’s senior manager for TELUS International University.
