Butuan student silver medallist in 2 int’l math contests

BUTUAN CITY— Grade three pupil Gwyneth Marie Z. Vitor at Butuan City SPED Center won two silver medals in grade school category  for the two international math competitions, the 2013 Asia Math Cup and 2013 King of Math held in Hong Kong last July 25-27. Vitor was among Filipino delegation sent to Hong Kong who dominated three International Math Competitions participated by elementary and high school math wizards from the countries of China, Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau and Indonesia. Vitor who belonged to section Fast Learners Grade 3 at Butuan SPED Center was also a recipient of a Merit Award as child gifted with Mathematical skills at 2013 Green World Cup also held same venue in Hong Kong. Parents Richard Puyo Vitor and Mary Zapanta now residing in Butuan City but traces their roots in Santiago and Jabonga towns in Agusan del Norte are all praises and grateful for what their daughter had achieved.
