MANILA, Philippines - The latest Catholic publications are set to be showcased at the 17th Philippine Academic Book Fair, the annual five-day event organized by the Academic Booksellers Association of the Philippines (ABAP) on July 8-12 at the Megatrade Hall 1, 5th Level, Mega B, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
The Philippine Academic Book Fair gathers major publishers from the Philippines and abroad to showcase the latest academic books and other materials for educational institutions at the most reasonable price.
Paulines Publishing House, an apostolic ministry of the Daughters of St. Paul, joins the event again this year, with books that cater to Christian and human formation, as well as references for teaching Christian Living for the K-12 Basic Education Program.
“Our books focus more on the spiritual aspects of life rather than the academic. We publish and distribute supplementary catholic readings and materials like prayer books, bibles, self-help books, religious movies, and audio materials, among others,†states Regine Areño, marketing manager of Paulines Publishing House and current president of Asian Catholic Communicators, Inc., a network of organizations in communications media in line with the teaching of the Catholic Church.
Joining Paulines at the Academic Book Fair are fellow ACCI members Catholic Book Center (CBC), Claretian Communications Foundation, Inc. (CCFI), and St. Paul’s Publication, to showcase the latest Catholic publications during the Academic Book Fair, such as bibles, books, pamphlets, church documents, Christian doctrine, prayer books, devotionals, theology references, audio and video materials, as well as bookmarks, stampitas, and greeting cards.
