Ric Sapnu, - The Philippine Star

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga , Philippines — The provincial government will be spending a total of P25 million for the scholarship grants of poor but deserving Kapampangan students this year.

This was announced on Monday by Governor Lilia Pineda during her meeting with local officials of the municipalities of Apalit, San Simon, Sto. Tomas and Minalin.

â€œWe set aside P25 million for the scholarship grants of our students so that they could have an opportunity to finish their studies and help their families as well,” she said.

Pineda is giving top priority to education.

Last year, the provincial government has spent more than P176.4 million for the construction of 182 classrooms and several covered courts in various public schools in the province.
