MANILA, Philippines - Trinity University of Asia president Dr. Josefina Sumaya was installed as new president of the Asia Pacific Federation of Christian Schools (APFCS) in a ceremony highlighting the 8th General Assembly of the APFCS held at Taipei International Hotel in Taiwan recently.
The assembly was attended by representatives from member-countries which include Taiwan, China, Malaysia, South Korea, Indonesia, Mongolia and the Philippines.
With the theme “Towards a More Functional APFCS,” Sumaya, whose leadership is built on “a covenant of trust,” vows to be both a global and a servant leader.
Among her priorities is to unite people of diverse cultures to a single purpose, the alignment of which she believes will be achieved by employing shared leadership.
Sumaya also believes in the power and capacity of women to be catalysts of change, proof is her success as president of TUA who promoted its status from a college to a university.
