ASHA leads in molding world-class hospitality professionals

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Luck smiles on the students and graduates of the Asian School of Hospitality Arts (ASHA), as they prepare themselves for a promising career in whatever paths they choose. As one of the most progressive schools for the hospitality and culinary arts in the country today, students are molded into future professionals by a good curriculum and a faculty lineup that includes experts in the field.

“Since ASHA started in 2010, we are proud to say that our graduates have become in demand in the hotel and restaurant industry. That is because an ASHA student or graduate is prepared for the actual rigors of work at the early stage, backed by good training and constantly reminded to become global in their career outlook,” explained ASHA Dean Angie Blanco.

In fact, many of the students have already been given early exposure through various on-the-job trainings that the school has initiated for them. Through the school’s wide network of connections in the hotel and restaurant industry, students already know what is in store for them the moment they step out of the school and enter the actual working atmosphere.

“We make sure that ASHA graduates are employed upon graduation,” said Blanco, who has an extensive network as she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Human Resources Managers (AHRM) in the hospitality industry in the Philippines. This is the association of all HR directors in the hotel and restaurant industry.

“ASHA students go to the TESDA Assessment Centers for skills assessment and accreditation in commercial cooking, food and beverage services, housekeeping, bartending and front office. I’m proud to say that ASHA has a 100 percent passing rate,” said Blanco.

ASHA has schools located in Antipolo, Kamias QC, Tagaytay, Santolan Greenhills, and West Avenue QC. For more information, call 0917-5729790 or visit: www.asha.edu.ph.
