Department of Agriculture information officers, staff undergo knowledge management training
MANILA, Philippines - Thirty-five information officers and other technical staff of the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR), Regional Integrated Agricultural Research Centers (RIARCs), Regional Fisheries Research and Development Centers (RFRDCs), and DA research implementing bureaus and attached agencies in Luzon and Visayas will be trained on knowledge capture, knowledge products design, and knowledge sharing today and tomorrow, at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) in Los Baños, Laguna.
The training-workshop will be conducted under the DA-BAR/SEARCA project entitled “Capacity Development Program on Knowledge Management,” which is aimed at strengthening individual and institutional capacities on knowledge management.
This is one of the four new collaborative projects launched by DA-BAR and SEARCA this year.
At the end of the project, a comprehensive capacity development program on knowledge management will have been designed for the agricultural research sub-sector. The project outputs will serve as DA-BAR’s blueprint on knowledge management capacity development program for agriculture.
