Letran scholarships open to deserving students

MANILA, Philippines - Colegio de San Juan de Letran, providing excellence since 1620, offers a wide range of scholarship grants up for grabs for aspiring students.

• Rector’s Scholarship Program — provides an opportunity for the academically outstanding student. Recipients will enjoy full discount on tuition, miscellaneous, various fees, monthly allowances;

• Academic Scholarship Program — a competitive, merit-based financial assistance. All valedictorians and salutatorians entering the first year level of the high school and collegiate departments are automatically given the initial scholarship. Dean’s listers are given semestral discounts on tuition fees;

• Accountancy Scholarship Program — makes resources available for academically gifted high school graduates. Each scholar is provided with full tuition and miscellaneous discounts; free board and lodging at the Liem dela Paz dormitory; laundry and transportation allowances (during semestral breaks) and free uniform and books;

• Student Development Program — supports the trust of providing the youth access to education through the San Vicente Liem dela Paz Foundation-Student Development Program;

• Student Assistantship Program — designed to provide opportunity to financially handicapped but deserving and intellectually capable students pursue a college education by hiring them as student assistants to serve as part-time working students in the various departments of Letran;

• Athletics Program — designed to help students pursue a career by giving them quality education while pursuing excellence in sports, mold individual athletes to become spiritually, morally, psychologically, intellectually, and physically healthy for active athletic lifestyle through competitions.

The Colegio also proving to keep up with the challenges of today with another added course in their list of offered programs, the soon to be College of Engineering offers Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BS ELE), Civil Engineering (BS CE), Industrial Engineering (BS IE), and Electrical Engineering (BS EE.) is now open for interested applicants for SY 2012-2013.
