UE to co-host MFI lecture on corporate rehabilitation

MANILA, Philippines - The University of the East College of Law (UE CLaw) will co-host the Metrobank Foundation Inc. (MFI) rollout of professorial chair lecture on “Corporate Rehabilitation in the Philippines” on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m., at the UE Conference Hall. As part of the month-long festivities for the 65th UE foundation anniversary celebration this year which will officially kick off on Sunday, Sept. 25, with the theme “José Rizal: Nasa Puso Ng UE” to commemorate the heroism of National Hero Dr. José Rizal on his 150th birth anniversary, this professorial chair lecture will feature former Supreme Court Associate Justice Dante Tinga, an outstanding UE alumnus. UE CLaw Dean Amado Valdez, president of the Philippine Association of Law Schools (PALS), will act as lecture moderator. “The Supreme Court of the Philippines - Philippine Judicial Academy (PHILJA) has chosen the UE College of Law to co-host this MFI rollout of lecture,” Valdez said. Other activities for the celebration: Lecture on “Strategies and Techniques in Effectively Answering Multiple-Choice Questions”, Sept. 28; Law Quiz Bee (5 p.m.), Impromptu Speaking (6 p.m.) and Law Debate (7 p.m.), Sept. 29; and “Awarding of the Dean of the College of Law Alumni Honor Roll 2011”, Sept. 30.
