BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — In line with its educational support program, the Energy Development Corp. (EDC) gave out scholarship grants to 120 high school students in Bago City and Murcia town in Negros Occidental.

EDC gave P5,000 each to 60 students of Ramon L. Torres National High School in Bago City, and 60 students of the Minoyan National High School in Murcia in ceremonies in respective schools Tuesday.

On top of the cash incentives, EDC also shoulders their tuition and miscellaneous fees for the whole school year. The scholars are required to have above average grades to maintain their scholarship.

EDC officials led by Community Partnerships deputy manager Norreen Bautista distributed the scholarship certificates, with Murcia Mayor Andrew Montelibano, Murcia Councilor Stephen Guiro, and Bago City Vice Mayor Nicholas Yulo.
