PAVIC to hold 3rd Parents Congress

MANILA, Philippines – Parent Advocates for Visually Impaired Children or PAVIC will be holding its 3rd Parents Congress on May 6-8, 2011 at the Bayview Park Hotel Manila in Roxas Blvd. corner United Nations Ave., Ermita, Manila.

Every three years PAVIC holds a parents congress to assess the current situation and needs of visually impaired and multi-handicapped Filipino children and to realize ways to enhance their welfare, productivity and full participation in society.

This year’s congress theme is “Promoting Child’s Right through Partnership Building,” focusing on the Human Rights for Children with Disabilities.

PAVIC’s 3rd Parents Congress made possible in partnership with Perkins School for the Blind, Harvard Law School Project on Disability and Cristoffel Blinden Mission and in cooperation with Department of Education, Commission on Human Rights and Resources for the Blind, Inc.
