Corporate housekeeping seminar for lawyers, non-lawyers set

MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Global Best Practices is holding an MCLE-accredited seminar entitled, “Best practices in corporate housekeeping: The experts’ guide on how to be an effective corporate secretary” on April 28 and 29, 2011 at The Edsa Shangri-La, Mandaluyong City. This special pioneering program teaches board directors, lawyers, and CPAs the knowledge and professional skills on how to be an effective corporate secretary and how to perform the functions of corporate housekeeping. It is what every corporation needs to do and to know to function well.

Whether you are a lawyer servicing a corporate client, a professional or a family member assigned to the board as a corporate secretary, or the board director and owner of a corporation, you must know how corporate housekeeping should be executed properly.

The program will feature lawyer Tristan Catindig (AB, cum laude, UP, 1962; LLB, cum laude, UP, 1966; LLM, Harvard Law School, Harvard University scholar, 1969) who has been in corporate law practice for more than 40 years, 26 years of which were with the largest law firm in the Philippines, SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan, where he was Senior Partner and head, corporate services department. The second lecturer will be lawyer A. Bayani Tan (A., Valedictorian, San Beda College 1976, LLB, UP, 1980; Master of Law, New York University; 6th place, 1981 Bar examinations) who is the managing partner of the Tan Venturanza Valdez Law Office.
