Jollibee Yumbassadors to speak before World Vision graduates

-

MANILA, Philippines - Five Jollibee Yumbassadors will be special guest speakers in World Vision’s “Flying High” graduation ceremony tomorrow, March 25 at the PS Bank Center in Makati. The Yumbassadors, led by teen icon and long-time World Vision Ambassador Sam Concepcion, will share inspiring words and talk about their experiences as determined youth achievers to 20 World Vision scholars from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao who graduated with the highest honors in their batch. Aside from Sam, other Yumbassadors who will share inspiring words are Bam Aquino, youth leader and social entrepreneur who pioneered the HaPinoy project; Miro Frances Capili, the youngest three-time Palanca awardee; Carmela Lao, first Filipina to bag International Mathematical Olympiad medals; and Sunshine Plata, renowned coffee painter whose fan base includes Ripley’s Believe It or Not! World Vision, a development organization which runs a child-sponsorship program, is holding the “Flying High” ceremony as a way to recognize the hard work of its 2,000 graduates this year who excel in academics regardless of their situation in life. The organization currently assists 112,000 children in 29 provinces nationwide and works to ensure that they stay in school, and are equipped and motivated to pursue excellence. The Yumbassadors I Inspire School Tour will visit La Consolacion College on March 28, and Mapua Institute of Technology-Makati on April 13.
