Study in the USA

-

MANILA, Philippines - The United States is the favored study destination for many students in the Philippines. Not only is the US education system and credit transfer process very familiar, but also their degree programs have close similarities to the Philippines which bases its college system on the US model. With over 3,000 accredited colleges and universities in the US, it can be quite a daunting task to choose which institution to attend. Inter-Ed who specialize in assisting students to study in the USA and to make well-informed choices regarding their course and college, will be presenting a “Study in the USA” seminar at the US Embassy on Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 to address this issue. This seminar is free of charge and open to the public. The free seminar will be conducted by Roger Bartholomew, president of Inter-Ed, at the US Embassy (Commercial Section), 25/F Ayala Life - FGU Center, 6811 Ayala Avenue, Makati. The seminar presentation which will cover choosing a college, admission requirements, student visas and benefits and will feature UMass, ASU, Dominican University and Bellevue College, will be from 5:30 p.m. - 7.30 p.m. on Jan. 28, 2011, but students who would like to be interviewed individually, may set appointments from 1 to 5 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Students should bring copies of their academic records with them, resumes (if applying for graduate studies) and IDs. For security purposes the US Embassy requires pre-registration which may be done through the Inter-Ed website (www.inter-ed.com), by texting name, contact no. and academic background to 0918-9041282, by emailing the same information to intl_edu_specialists @pldtdsl.net, or calling 8191001. All featured colleges and universities are still open to accept applicants for Sept 2011.
