With the objective of helping young people explore their career options and choose potential colleges to attend, International Education Specialists of Makati (Inter-Ed) (email: intl_edu_special ists@pldtdsl.net; text: 0928-2708527) has organized the 22nd Career Counseling and Guidance Fair. Set for Sept. 16 to 17, 2010, this event gathers local and international educational institutions under one roof to assist high school students in taking the right steps toward a fulfilling future. Aside from the exhibits of the different colleges and universities, career mapping seminars, one-on-one counseling, and orientation on admission requirements will also be held simultaneously.
Leading the roster of participating organizations is University of the Philippines, which offers the most number of academic programs in the country. Educational institutions like Mapua Institute of Technology, the biggest engineering school in the Philippines, will be there. Also exhibiting are UST, celebrating 400th year, Emilio Aguinaldo College and Academy for International Culinary Arts, both offering some of the country’s best hotel and restaurant management and culinary courses. The Philippine School of Business Administration, a school that has continually produced CPA Board Exam topnotchers, will also be present.
With all of these schools in one venue, students, as well as their parents and teachers, do not have to dread going to college. Planning a career does not have to be overwhelming with all these resources at their disposal.
