Globe trains more teachers in GFT program

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Nineteen public school teachers from various public high schools in Metro Manila successfully completed Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training under the Global Filipino Teacher (GFT) program of Globe Telecom.

GFT is an intensive six-day training workshop that trains teachers on how to integrate ICT in teaching basic subjects and how to properly use ICT software for effective classroom management. In addition, the training program is equivalent to masteral degree units should the teacher want to pursue higher education.

The Global Filipino Teacher program is managed by the company’s social responsibility arm, Globe Bridging Communities, in partnership with the Coalition for Better Education and the Department of Education.

This year, Globe expects to train more teachers in areas such as Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro and Visayas provinces.
