Feati conducts S&T Expo 2010
MANILA, Philippines - Entrepreneurship know-how and the science of the 21st century converge at the annual Feati University Science and Technology Expo, which will be held today and tomorrow, Feb. 18 and 19 at the university’s activity center.
The event is designed to inculcate into high school and undergraduate students business acumen and knowledge about the commercialization of inventions and concepts. It is hoped that this will encourage them to become the next global business leaders, following the likes of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.
With the theme “Technology and Entrepreneurship,” the three-day event will feature different activities such as an exhibit of research projects and works of art, orienteering, a culinary demonstration, wine tasting, open house, and on-the-spot art competition.
Engineer Ramon Castillo, president of Innovatrix, Inc. will deliver the keynote address on the first day of the expo.
Exhibitors include the Department of Science and Technology, Carlos Palanca Stakeholders Working Group (CPWSG), Innovatrix Inc., Parañaque Science High School, Philippine Science High School, U-Belt Consortium Research and Extension Linkage (U-Belt Consortium) and Victorino Mapa High School.
The Feati S&T Expo 2010 is the seventh exposition held by the university since its inception in 2003.
