New English training center launched

-

MANILA, Philippines - A newly-established English training center, Bansec Gnosis Training Centre, held its official launching earlier this week, with a vow to help the Philippines produce more English-proficient workers.

The latest venture of the Bansec-Kontico Group, Bansec Gnosis hopes to become the premier ESL (English as a Second Language) education provider in the country.

The official launch, held in adjoining ballrooms of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Makati City last Tuesday, was graced by former First Lady Imelda Marcos, Commission on Higher Education CHED) Commissioner Dr. Nona Ricafort, foreign ambassadors and noteworthy guests from foreign education ministries.

Bansec Gnosis draws upon the experience and dedication of multilingual educators and facilitators from a diversity of backgrounds and ethnicities.

James Anthony, CEO and chairman of the Bansec Kontico Group, said they were very optimistic on the future of the Philippines to develop its advantages as one of the countries with the highest population of English speaking citizens.

“I’m thrilled to lead such a talented team. It is our shared vision to enhance the use of English speech in the Philippine education system and elsewhere across the globe. We are committed to this goal. We believe we can make a significant contribution to the community through our training programs,” Anthony said.

The Centre’s name is said to derived from the Greek word for “knowledge”, and accordingly, it offers an innovative approach to the pursuit of knowledge of the English language. With programs to be hosted in institutions across the nation, as well as in China, Korea and the Middle East, Bansec Gnosis was established to cater to the educational needs of students, teachers and professionals in countries where English is not spoken as a mother tongue. — Rainier Allan Ronda
