UE resets Papin concert, alumni homecoming to focus on relief work

-

MANILA, Philippines - The University of the East has postponed two major events slated for this week to later dates: The Grand Concert of Song and Dance by Imelda Papin, an international singing icon and a UE Distinguished Alumna-Achiever, will now be held tomorrow, Oct. 9, 6 p.m., at the UE Theatre; and The UE Grand Alumni Homecoming is moved to Saturday, Oct. 24, 5 p.m., at the Dalupan Lobby in UE’s Manila Campus.

These postponements have been made to give way to relief efforts being undertaken by the UE for victims of tropical storm Ondoy — focusing primarily on members of the UE community, namely students, faculty and other personnel, who were severely affected by the disaster. UE’s management has mobilized volunteers within the UE Manila and Caloocan Campuses — including officers, faculty, other personnel, and college students — to help in the logistics of this relief effort.

For more information about UE, the events and the UE relief work, please contact the UE at 7355471 locals 458 or 459 (marketing department) or 314 or 315 (University Relations Office) or visit www.ue.edu.ph
