38 years speak well of Speechpower

MANILA, Philippines - “Master your speech before it holds you back in fear,” asserts Dr. Jose Mordeno Jr., founder and president of Speechpower, the country’s top communication training center. Obviously, despite all the advances in communication technology, face-to-face communication still has the greatest influence over people.

So, as Speechpower celebrates another year of committed service to communication training, a series of activities has been slated.

The much-anticipated lecture series, meant to offer an opportunity to the general public to discover anew the power of communication, has been set, too. The lectures are for free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lecture topics include “Breaking the IELTS Code: Getting a 7 in Speaking” (Oct. 2); “Oral Presentation Skills” (Oct. 23 and Nov. 6); “Writing for the Corporate World” (Oct. 10); “G-Spot: Spotting Grammar Errors in Writing” (Oct. 17); “How to Talk so People Listen: Playing the Fluency Game” (Oct. 17); and “Rev Up Your Reading” (Oct. 25).

And finally, Speechpower offers its October two-week Intensive ’09 Program. Classes start on Oct. 12 and end Oct. 23. During the term, regular courses are available. Special arrangements on IELTS, TSE, TOEFL, and TOEIC review are also open.

Speechpower is strategically located at Speechpower-Joshua Building, 932 Aurora Boulevard, near corner 20th Avenue, Cubao, Quezon City (9110832-34); 4/F Dona Amparo Building, Espana cor. Tolentino St., Sampaloc, Manila (7357256/7357312/7357262); and 2116 Buendia cor. Taft Avenue, Pasay City (8332921/8332836).
